Good to know
—Sessions usually take between 45 minutes and an hour and a half, depending on the family.
—Travel within the Hills District is included. Sessions outside it attract a travel fee, including beach sessions and in-home sessions further afield.
One session fee holds both sessions. We book a date for your maternity session and pencil in your newborn session around your due date, then lock in the day once bub arrives. Each comes with a questionnaire, a styling guide and help planning the light.

02Your two sessions

03Gallery & collection
A proofing gallery arrives 3–4 weeks after each session. Choose Keepsake, Story or Complete for each one, and your final images are polished and delivered.

What the session is like
Two sessions, each at its own pace
Your maternity session is relaxed and gently guided. I’ll use small prompts to help connection unfold naturally, while still making time for those classic looking-at-the-camera portraits that are always lovely to have.
Newborn sessions are slow, unhurried and baby-led. Bub’s needs always come before a perfect pose, so we pause for feeds, cuddles and changes whenever they’re needed, and make sure bub is happy and comfortable the whole way through.
Little babies have been part of my life for a long time. I spent a few years in the babies’ room when I worked in childcare, I’ve had three of my own, and I’ve photographed countless newborns since, sometimes dozens in a day when styling and shooting for brands. So if bub needs a gentle rock between photos, I’m more than happy to help.
The things expecting parents usually ask us first. Anything else, just ask when you enquire.
When should we get in touch?
During your pregnancy, whenever you’re ready. We’ll pencil you in around your due date and lock in the day once bub arrives.
What if bub comes early or late?
That’s why we pencil in rather than fix a date. Just send us a message once bub is here and we’ll find a day that suits you.
Does our home need to be spotless?
Not at all. We find the room with the softest window light and work in one corner of it, so a quick tidy of that spot is plenty.
Can siblings and pets join?
Yes please. Big brothers and sisters (and the dog) are part of your story, and we’ll make time for photos with everyone.
What about feeds and settling?
We follow bub’s lead and pause for feeds and cuddles whenever they’re needed. There’s no rush.
What do we need to bring?
Nothing at all. We bring outfit options for bub, a Moses basket, and blankets and wraps for styling.
Where does the session happen?
Most newborn sessions are in your home, but outdoor newborn sessions are lovely too. If you’d prefer one, reach out and we can chat about it. Travel within the Hills District is included; homes outside it have a travel fee.
